Prices include VAT and cutting. Several pieces of the same size are cut from one piece of stock where they fit, allowing 4mm for the saw blade between pieces; the first piece is cut free and each additional piece is £1.60. Description
F1 fine-weave cotton phenolic rod (SRBF) – the equivalent of Tufnol® Carp brand – in diameters from 20mm to 100mm, in 500mm and 1000mm lengths. The fine cotton weave gives a smoother machined finish and crisper detail than medium-weave (Whale-type) rod, making it the right choice for gears, precision bushes and parts where surface finish and accuracy matter.

Is this genuine Tufnol®?
No. It is F1 fine-weave phenolic cotton, the standard equivalent grade to Tufnol® Carp. Tufnol® is a registered trademark of Tufnol Composites Ltd.
Should I choose fine weave or medium weave?
Choose fine weave for gears and parts that need a smooth finish or fine detail. For general bushes, spacers and wear pads, medium weave does the job for less.
Is it food safe?
No. Phenolic laminates should not be used in direct contact with food.
