Nylon 66 (PA66) rod in natural cream and black, from 5mm to 200mm diameter – every standard size on one page. Of all the unmodified nylons, Nylon 66 is the strongest and most rigid, and has one of the highest melting points. It combines high mechanical strength and stiffness with good heat, wear and creep resistance, and it is well suited to machining on automatic lathes.

Which rod do I need?

• Nylon 66 (this rod) – for strength, stiffness, heat and wear resistance. Note that its impact strength and mechanical damping are reduced compared with other nylons.
• Cast Nylon 6 rod – the usual choice for diameters above 200mm.
• Precision ground Nylon 66 rod – for a tight diameter tolerance of -0mm/+0.05mm, in imperial sizes.
• Graphite-filled Nylon 66 rod – a self-lubricating grade.
• Delrin acetal homopolymer rod – an acetal alternative with high strength, stiffness and creep resistance for machined parts.

Q: Is the price per rod or per pack?
A: For 5mm to 20mm the price is per pack of 3000mm lengths (for example, 5mm is a pack of 20 rods). From 25mm the price is per single rod.

Q: What diameters are available?
A: From 5mm up to 200mm. 200mm is the largest diameter made in Nylon 66; larger diameters are normally available in cast Nylon 6.

Q: Which sizes come in black?
A: Black is available in 20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, 45mm, 50mm and 60mm. All other sizes are natural (cream).

Q: Can I get a custom length?
A: Yes, custom lengths are available on 40mm and larger diameters. Please get a quote.
