Description
This grey Unplasticised Polyvinyl Chloride (U-PVC) sheet is strong, rigid, chemical resistant and self-extinguishing – a proven choice for chemical processing, tank fabrication and general industrial applications.
Available in thicknesses from 1.5mm to 12mm, in pre-cut sizes from 250mm x 250mm up to full 2440mm x 1220mm and 3000mm x 1500mm sheets.
Material Properties
U-PVC is known for its self-extinguishing properties and excellent resistance to acids, alkalis and many aqueous chemicals. It has high mechanical and tensile strength, good hardness, low moisture absorption and good dimensional stability.
Machining and Fabrication
PVC sheet machines easily to a clean, polished finish. It can be hot-air welded, bonded with solvent cements and thermoformed. For best results, use sharp double-edged milling cutters and saw blades suited to plastics.

FAQ
Q: Is PVC sheet suitable for food applications?
A: No. This grey PVC sheet is not FDA approved for food contact. For food applications, consider our natural polypropylene or HDPE sheet.
Q: What are the machining characteristics of PVC sheet?
A: PVC machines well, leaving a polished finish, and can be welded or bonded with solvent cements and other adhesives.
Q: What is the temperature limit for PVC sheet?
A: The recommended working range is 0°C to +60°C. PVC begins to decompose at around 140°C and melts at around 160°C.
