Description

RG1000 is a recycled ultra high molecular weight polyethylene sheet, ideal for various industrial uses. It offers excellent abrasion resistance and low moisture absorption.

Material Composition

RG1000 is made from ultra high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) with recycled material, providing a sustainable option without compromising performance.

Mechanical and Thermal Properties

This sheet has a tensile strength of 22 MPa and a Shore hardness rating. It can withstand short-term temperatures up to 80°C and has a thermal conductivity of 0.43 W/(K*m).

Advantages and Disadvantages

RG1000 is odorless, tasteless, and non-toxic, making it economical compared to virgin grades. However, it is not FDA approved for food applications and has a maximum operating temperature of 90°C.

Applications and Uses

Commonly used for lining chutes, hoppers, and wear blocks, RG1000 is suitable for non-FDA applications in marine environments and conveyor systems.

Machining and Bonding Characteristics

RG1000 can be machined into various shapes and sizes, but bonding is challenging due to its low moisture absorption. High-speed steel tooling is recommended for machining.
