Description

RG1000 is a high-performance sheet made from recycled Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene. Ideal for use in various industrial settings.

Material Composition

RG1000 is composed of Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) with recycled material, providing an economical alternative to virgin grades.

Mechanical and Thermal Properties

This sheet exhibits a tensile strength of 22 MPa and a Shore D hardness. It can withstand service temperatures of up to 80°C and has a thermal conductivity of 0.43 W/(K*m).

Advantages and Disadvantages

RG1000 is odorless, tasteless, and nontoxic, with low moisture absorption and excellent abrasion resistance. However, it is not FDA approved and has limitations in high tensile applications.

Applications

Commonly used for lining chutes, hoppers, slide-ways, and wear blocks in aggressive environments, RG1000 is suitable for non-FDA applications such as conveyor wear plates and marine uses.

Machining and Bonding

RG1000 can be machined into various shapes using high-speed steel tooling. However, bonding this material can be challenging due to its low wettability.
