Description
Description
This high-performance pultruded carbon fibre square tube (or box section) is manufactured using high-strength carbon fibre and an epoxy resin matrix. Pultruded tubes are created by pulling continuous strands of carbon fibre through resin and a former before curing the resin, all in one process. This manufacturing technique ensures 100% longitudinal fibre orientation, giving the tubes excellent strength along their length while making them vulnerable to crushing forces.
Typical applications include robotics, automation, model making, UAVs, engineering, and motorsports. The thicker square tubes can be used together with gusset plates to create very strong structural space frames and lightweight support structures.
