Description
Description
This high-performance pultruded carbon fibre tube is manufactured to tight tolerances using high-strength carbon fibre and an epoxy or vinyl ester resin matrix. Pultruded tubes are the most commonly used type of carbon fibre tube. They are manufactured by pulling continuous strands of carbon fibre through resin and a former before curing the resin all in one process. Pultruded tubes have 100% longitudinal fibre orientation, which provides excellent strength along their length but makes them vulnerable to crushing forces. For applications where crushing or non-uniform forces are experienced, roll-wrapped carbon fibre tubes should be considered as an alternative.
Typical applications include radio-controlled models, electronics, UAVs, robotics, engineering, and automation. If you have a requirement for machined or finished carbon fibre components, please inquire for more information.
