Acrylic "Crystal Edge" is subtle and soft and, as an edge sheet, is intended to be applied in such a way that the edges of the sheet stand out the most. The material has a glossy surface and is at its best when the edges are polished. Due to the minimal colouring of the sheet, the colour is surprisingly visible in the edges, which results in a beautiful, sleek line. The Crystal Edge collection is made of high-quality cast acrylic (also known as PMMA).
The Crystal Edge collection is colour-stable, UV-resistant, easy to fabricate, lightweight in comparison to glass and fully recyclable. If damaged, the surface can be easily and quickly repaired by sanding and polishing. Because the material is cast, it does have some thickness tolerance of 0.4mm +/- 10% of the nominal thickness.
