Description

Description

This Premium closed cell, cross-linked polyethylene block foam is designed for easy fabrication and offers numerous benefits. Composed of a multitude of nitrogen cells encased within a polyethylene material, this foam is lightweight, completely odorless, and buoyant due to its water-resistant properties. Its exceptional chemical resistance makes it suitable for a variety of applications, as it withstands exposure to most oils, solvents, acids, and alkalis.

Closed cell foams are typically firmer and tougher compared to open cell foams. They exhibit reduced springiness and can recover from repeated impacts, with each cell functioning like a balloon, allowing the foam to return to its original shape. PE Foam is recognized for its versatility, commonly used in insulation, packaging, impact-absorbing sportswear, and military-grade casing inserts.

This foam can be easily shaped and cut, making it suitable for various methods of fabrication, including thermoforming, sawing, laser cutting, and CNC routing. It can also be split and heat laminated, and shaped using water jet equipment. For custom machined or finished PE Foam components, please inquire for more information.
