This Premium Closed Cell PE Foam Sheet is made from cross-linked polyethylene block foam, offering a wealth of benefits. The foam consists of numerous nitrogen cells held within a polyethylene material, making it lightweight and completely odourless. It does not absorb water, providing excellent buoyancy. With exceptional chemical resistance to most oils, solvents, acids, and alkalis, this foam is a versatile solution for various applications.
Closed cell foams, such as this one, are known for being harder, firmer, and tougher than open cell foams. They exhibit less springiness and can recover from repeated impacts, as each cell acts like a balloon, allowing it to bounce back to its original shape. Widely regarded as one of the most versatile forms of foam available, its common uses range from insulation and packaging to impact-absorbing sportswear and military-grade casing inserts.
This PE Foam can be easily shaped and cut. It can be thermoformed, sawed, and laser cut, while also being routed cleanly using CNC machinery.
