Medium Density Polythene (MDPE) Hose is suitable for applications requiring a relatively low cost material which has good resistance to many liquids and chemicals. This MDPE hose exhibits high resistance to water and organic salt solutions. It is unaffected by diluted bases and acids, but please note that polythene hose may discolour or crack under the action of concentrated nitric and sulphuric acids, particularly at high temperatures.
MDPE hose serves as a more flexible, low pressure alternative to flexible nylon tubing. It is manufactured from materials that fulfill most countries' requirements for materials intended to come into contact with drinking water. Designed specifically for low pressure applications, it has a maximum working temperature of +50 °C.
